Rising Tide Women’s Leadership Brunch
March 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
As the world becomes more digitally connected, communities have contrastingly become fractured because of the growing disconnect between generations, political ideals, and racial concerns. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia is committed to building a brighter community and future for all our girls. We have brought some of Central Georgia’s great women leaders together to share with our community what it means to rise up during this time. We ask you to join them by committing to be a light for our young girls as they seek guidance and leadership.
This upcoming Women’s Leadership Brunch is designed to bring the women leading our community into a shared space to discuss the power of mentorship and what it means to rise up during this time. Attendees will also have a chance to connect with some of the Club girls and teens preparing to engage with the greater community. Featuring a key note address by Judge Verda Colvin, which will also be live streamed on Facebook, the event will be hosted by Renee’ Bumpus of Bumpi Group LLC.
The event will also include a panel discussion on the power of mentorship. In addition to our Youth of the Year winner, Aliayah Simmons, the panel will consist of Dr. Ansley Booker of Mercer University, Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney Anita Howard, Susannah Maddux of The Web, Rachel Moore of International Paper, and Sarah Schanck of Crisis Line and Safe House of Central Georgia. The panel will be moderated by Erin Keller of New Town Macon.
