5 Back to School Tips

The 2022-2023 school year is here, and we know the transition from summer to school is a difficult one. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia are here to help with any back to school challenges. Here are 5 Back to School Tips brought to you by our BGCCG staff.

1. Enjoy your time with Club programs and making new friends.

The Club provides all youth with various opportunities and experiences. Our programs focus on three outcome areas: academic success, good character and leadership, and healthy lifestyles. The chance to learn, discover an interest, or hone a skill is everywhere at BGCCG, as well as the chance to make new friends.

2.  Ask for help when you do not know or do not understand.

Our Clubs are here to serve, helping all young people is our priority. Whatever it may be, whether it’s a math problem you just can’t figure out or an unresolved issue with a peer, we are here to lend a hand.

3.  Be vocal about your interests.

The Club experience is for the Club member, if there is an area of interest that isn’t being provided or that you think needs expanding let us know. Each Club is made unique by its members and their pursuits.

4. Strive to be the person you want to be instead of the person others want you to be.

Our Clubs will always be a safe place where one can authentically be themselves. Through our Club doors awaits a staff willing and ready to support all youth in every aspect of their life.

5. Utilize every facet of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

When it’s time to buckle down on classes, the Club is full of great resources like programs designed to help students with their homework and studying efforts. The Clubs also provide access to computer labs which gives students the opportunity to complete online work or search for educational resources.
