​The BGCCG Salute to Youth Dinner is an event organized by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia (BGCCG) to honor and celebrate the achievements of young individuals in the community. This annual dinner features guest speakers, awards, and recognition of the youth who have demonstrated outstanding qualities such as leadership, resilience, and community service. The event serves as an opportunity to raise funds for the organization’s programs and initiatives aimed at supporting youth development.

​​Malcolm Mitchell, a Valdosta, Georgia native and Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots, is also a celebrated children’s author and literacy advocate. As founder of Share the Magic Foundation, he has inspired over 2 million students and placed thousands of books in young readers’ hands. A University of Georgia graduate, Malcolm overcame early struggles with reading and discovered his love for books in college. His journey has earned national recognition, including awards from General Colin Powell and the International Dyslexia Association. Today, he continues to empower young lives through the power of literacy.​
