About Us

In every community, many boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision, especially in the after school hours between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Young people need postive alternatives.

At the Boys & Girls Club, young people explore and develop their talents.  Boys and girls aged 6-18, who might otherwise be on the streets, are engaged in life-enhancing programs that are proven to help them grow into responsible, productive adults.

Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. The average member at B&GCCG spends 10 hours a week in life-enhancing program.

B&GCCG is a unique organization consisting of a variety of locations - chartered Clubs at housing and school sites and after-school partnership programs at many schools. Our goal is to provide every child with the essential tools needed for a successful and bright future. 

Since our beginning in 1938 and our affiliation with Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 1944 , the vision of Boys & Girls Clubs has grown and changed with the needs of our children. As the needs of our children and their families continue to change, so will the dynamics of our programs and services.

Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow -- all while having fun. It is truly The Positive Place For Kids.
